Agent 14: Switchboard

Monthly cost

A full-time month is the median hourly wage × 40 hours × 52 weeks ÷ 12. UK employer National Insurance is 15% of annual pay above £5,000 (2026/27, category A). Employment Allowance is not deducted.

The phone, answered, on a server that does not go home.

Inbound calls on your own VPS. The phone number and 300 voice minutes are included. You train it on your business in one box on the console: prices, hours, and what callers should be told. The next call uses that. Appointments book on Cal.com, or the call forwards to your mobile.

Who it's for. For a business whose line still depends on whoever is nearest the handset.

A missed call is the caller deciding you were closed.

The line is staffed in the log when you look, including after hours.

If it is not for you, the refund is the one already on the policy: 14 days, the full amount, by email.
